Championship v Bearna - 7th March 2010

Moycullen won a hard fought encounter against old rivals, Barna,  on a score line of 1-10 to 1-7. Moycullen put in a very strong team performance throughout the field. We led by 7 points to 1 at half time aided by a strong breeze. Bearna started the stronger in the second half, scoring 1-1 without reply in the opening 8 minutes to narrow the gap to 2 points. Moycullen however dug in and responded with a goal of their own by Niall Mannion following a quick free by David Wynne. From there until the end it was back and forward but Moycullen held on to win by 3 points. Moycullen missed a few opportunities but some great points from Fergus Kerrigan and an early score from Eanna Noone ensured we qualified for the final.
